About Valveglow
Valveglow is a personal collection of vintage valve radios, mid-century televisions, slide projectors, and combo furniture pieces with built-in turntables — all lovingly preserved in New Zealand.
The name comes from the warm, amber glow of vacuum tubes (valves) as they heat up — a signature characteristic of these remarkable machines. That gentle light represents an era when electronics were crafted as furniture, designed to be both functional and beautiful.
The Collection
Each piece is individually documented with photographs, technical specifications, and its own unique history. Where possible, we trace the story of each particular item — its previous owners, how it arrived in New Zealand, and its journey to this collection.
Buy, Sell, or Just Talk
Some items in the collection are available for sale. If you're looking for a specific model, have a piece you'd like to sell, or simply want to talk about vintage radios, don't hesitate to get in touch.
